If you recently enrolled in a Lively Health Savings Account (HSA) through your employer and notice an Action Needed section on your dashboard letting you know that we couldn’t confirm your identity, follow the steps below.
This guide is specifically for HSAs provided through an employer. If you opened an individual HSA on your own through Lively, please learn how to verify your individual HSA here.
What does this mean for my HSA?
To comply with federal banking regulations, Lively verifies the identity of our account holders before enabling money movement. While your account is pending identity verification:
- Scheduled deductions from your paycheck and any employer contributions deposit into your HSA without interruption.
- If your Lively card is linked to multiple employer benefits (such as an FSA or Commuter account), you can still swipe your card for those eligible expenses as normal.
Note: Until identity verification is complete, HSA card purchases, reimbursements, bill payments, and investment transfers are unavailable.
How do I confirm my identity?
Follow these steps to complete identity verification from your dashboard:
- Log in to your Lively account on the web or mobile app.
- In the Action needed section on your main dashboard, select Continue to documentation verification.
- Follow the secure on-screen instructions to capture and submit your government-issued photo ID (such as a valid driver’s license, state ID, or passport).
If you are unsuccessful in verifying your identity after completing the steps above, reach out to your HR team to confirm that the information they provided to Lively is accurate. Once your HR team corrects your information, Lively will attempt to verify your identity again.
Still need help? If your employer confirms your records are accurate or if you run into any difficulty submitting your documentation, our team is ready to help. Please contact Lively Support via our 24/7 chat or secure message from your Lively account.
