When uploading a File Sync file, you might occasionally run into formatting or data issues that prevent rows from processing. Lively AI Review is an advisory tool that reads these file issues, explains the errors, and proposes concrete fixes that you can apply with a single click. While this advisory feature is designed to save you time and frustration, it remains completely in your control and will never make changes to your file without your explicit approval.
Starting a file review
If your uploaded file contains actionable issues, the system will automatically hold the file and generate recommendations. Beyond the default errors, AI can be used to evaluate and recommend corrections and follow up actions. After clicking "Review and Finalize" to go to the “File Review” screen within your File Center, you will see an "AI-powered file review" banner. Simply click the "Start review" button in the banner to view the AI's recommendations.
Reviewing and applying suggestions
Once you opt in to the review, suggestions will appear in two places: directly in your data grid and in the Issue Center side panel under the "AI Suggestions" tab.
Viewing details: Hovering over a flagged cell in the grid will show you the original issue, an explanation of the cause, and the exact fix being proposed.
Applying fixes: You can choose to apply the fix to a single row or across multiple matching rows. Clicking "Apply" instantly updates the information and re-verifies the row. If you choose to apply a fix to only a subset of rows, the remaining rows will stay pending until you manually review them.
Rejecting fixes: If a suggestion does not look right or fit your needs, simply click "Reject" to dismiss the suggestion for those rows.
If you choose to manually edit a row instead of using the AI suggestion, the system will automatically re-review the updated row once you click to run the error check again.
Saving rules for future files
If you want to prevent the same formatting issue from slowing you down in the future, you can check the "Remember this rule for future files" box before applying a fix. This creates a saved correction rule specifically for your company. You can view, edit, enable, or disable your saved rules at any time by navigating to the "Saved Rules" tab in the side panel.
