Employers can check account balances directly in the Lively dashboard. However, the level of detail available depends on the type of account due to privacy restrictions.
Health Savings Accounts (HSA): Due to strict privacy regulations, employers cannot view specific individual HSA balances. The funds in an HSA belong solely to the employee.
However, you can view aggregated data to gauge overall plan engagement:
Navigate to the "Reports" page in your dashboard.
Select the "Cash vs. Investments" report from the dropdown menu.
Download the report to view employees grouped into balance tiers (e.g., $0-$500, $500-$1,000, etc.) rather than specific dollar amounts.
Reimbursement Accounts (HRA, LSA, FSA, MTA, and Commuter Accounts): For these account types, you have full visibility into employee balances and spending.
View a single employee:
Navigate to the "Employees" page.
Click on the specific employee’s name.
Scroll to the "Plan Overview" card and select the account type (e.g., FSA, HRA) from the dropdown. You will see their total election, YTD spend, and available balance.
View all employees:
Navigate to the "Reports" page.
Select the "Plan Summary" report from the dropdown menu.
Download the report to see a comprehensive list of all non-HSA accounts, detailing total elections, spending, and remaining balances for every employee.
Troubleshooting:
Missing HSA details: If you are looking for a specific employee's HSA balance, please remember this data is private. You must rely on the aggregated "Cash vs. Investments" report.
Report selection: Ensure you select "Plan Summary" for detailed reimbursement account data, and "Cash vs. Investments" for high-level HSA trends.
