When you enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), you’ll verify your identity at login using one of three methods:
- App Authentication – generate a code using an authenticator app (preferred).
- SMS Text Authentication – receive a code by text message.
- Voice Call Authentication – receive a code through an automated phone call.
This added step makes it significantly harder for unauthorized users to access your account. Lively requires 2FA to ensure only you can log in and safeguard your information. You can choose the method that works best for you and update it at any time.
How to set it up:
- Log in to your Lively account and go to Menu > Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication.
- Select your preferred method:
- App – download an app such as Authy, Google Authenticator, or Microsoft Authenticator. Scan the QR code (or enter the manual code) provided by Lively, then confirm by entering the generated 6-digit code and your password.
- SMS – choose “SMS Authentication” to receive a code by text each time you log in.
- Voice Call – choose “Voice Call,” enter your phone number, and confirm it using the 6-digit code provided during the call.
- The next time you log in, you’ll be prompted to enter the verification code using your selected method.
Recovery codes: At setup, you’ll receive one-time recovery codes in case you lose access to your phone or authenticator app. Save these in a secure location or a password manager for future access.
