While Lively employs advanced security measures to keep your account’s data safe, staying vigilant and proactive in protecting your online accounts is crucial to further safeguard your information. There are a number of security measures you can take to further protect your information from unauthorized users.
1. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is one of the safest security measures you can take to protect your data. Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a second form of verification, such as a code sent to your mobile device, in addition to your password. We highly recommend activating this feature for your account. Here are step by step instructions for how to enable 2FA.
2. Choose strong passwords: Avoid using easily guessable passwords and refrain from using the same password across multiple accounts. Consider using a password manager, like 1Password, to generate and store complex passwords securely.
3. Regularly monitor your account activity: Keep a close eye on your account activity for any suspicious or unauthorized transactions. Report any unauthorized activity to our Member Support team immediately. To help you monitor activity, make sure that you are opted-in to Lively email communications.
4. Stay alert to phishing attempts: Be cautious of unsolicited emails, messages, advertisements, or phone calls requesting your personal or financial information, as well as phishing websites designed to mimic legitimate Lively websites (Official Lively websites: https://livelyme.com/ and https://support.livelyme.com/).
We encourage you to learn to identify the common tells of a phishing attempt. Phishing attempts often mimic the appearance and language of authentic communications, making it crucial to verify the source before providing any sensitive information.
5. Utilize account alerts: Take advantage of account alerts offered via Lively’s mobile app to receive notifications of account activity, such as logins or transactions, in real-time. To ensure these alerts are enabled, open your Lively mobile app, select Settings, Communication Preferences, and confirm your push notifications are enabled. You can find more details here.
6. Keep your devices and software updated: Ensure that your devices and software are up to date with the latest security patches and updates to mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
7. Educate yourself on common threats: Stay informed about common cybersecurity threats, such as malware, phishing, and social engineering attacks, to recognize and avoid them effectively. Lively will also make every effort to keep you informed of and protected against emerging threats as they arise.
Your security is important to us.
Please be aware that Lively will never ask you for your password, 2FA codes, or send you links within text messages. In addition, we’ll never ask you to download software. If you are being asked to provide any of this information, please do not share this information and contact Lively directly.
