Yes. If your employees have just enrolled and are waiting for their physical Lively Benefit Access Card to arrive in the mail, they do not have to wait to start using their funds.
Through a feature called push provisioning, employees can add their new, unactivated debit card directly to their mobile wallet (such as Apple Pay or Google Pay) using the Lively mobile app. This allows them to start spending their benefit funds immediately.
How Employees Add Their Pending Card
To add a card before it arrives in the mail, employees simply need to:
Download and log in to the Lively mobile app.
Navigate to the "Card" tab.
Tap "Add to Apple/Google Wallet".
Lively will securely push their encrypted card data directly to their mobile wallet without requiring them to type in the card number.
To protect your employees and mitigate fraud risk, there is a probationary daily spending limit of $500 applied to unactivated cards used via mobile wallets. All subsequent attempts over this amount will be declined.
The spending limit is automatically removed as soon as the employee receives and activates their physical card. Once the physical card is activated, standard plan limits apply.
What if an expense exceeds the daily limit?
If an employee has an eligible medical expense that exceeds the temporary $500 daily limit before their fully activated physical card arrives, they can still access their funds. They can simply pay out-of-pocket using a personal payment method and submit a manual claim for reimbursement directly through their Lively dashboard.
