Linking a personal bank account to your Lively account can be an important step in managing your account. A linked bank account allows you to:
-
Contribute directly to your HSA outside of payroll deductions.
-
Receive reimbursements for eligible out-of-pocket medical expenses paid with personal funds.
-
Repay your account if you need to return funds for a mistaken or ineligible expense.
Having an active linked account ensures funds can move securely between your personal bank and your Lively account when needed.
When linking your bank account to Lively, you have two options to verify ownership: instant verification or micro-deposits. Both methods securely confirm your bank account information and allow you to process HSA reimbursements or contribute funds to your account.
-
Instant verification: Authenticate your bank account using your online banking login credentials. Lively does not see or store your username or password—only your routing and account numbers are shared to complete the link.
-
Micro-deposits: Manually enter your bank’s routing and account numbers. Lively will send two small deposits (each under $1.00) to your bank account within 2-3 business days. Once you verify the deposit amounts in your dashboard, your account will be successfully linked.
Choose the method that works best for you. You can update or remove your linked bank account at any time.
