The Eligibility Scanner is a feature in the Lively mobile app that allows you to scan the barcode of a product to instantly determine if it’s eligible for purchase or reimbursement with your HSA or General Purpose FSA (GPFSA) funds.
Eligibility Scanner compares product information against the SIGIS Eligible Product List, a database maintained by the Special Interest Group for IIAS Standards (SIGIS) that includes medical expenses eligible under IRS Section 213(d).
Note: Lively does not share or store any of your personal information with SIGIS.
You can use the Eligibility Scanner up to 100 times per month. This limit resets on the 1st of every month and cannot be reset by Lively. If your scan returns an inconclusive result, visit Lively’s What’s Eligible page or review the list of qualified medical expenses in IRS Publication 502.
