We know that the end of your FSA plan year can be very busy. There are many deadlines to keep in mind and actions to take for getting claims processed in time. Here are some FAQs to help address common situations you may encounter:
I submitted a claim prior to the run-out period (or the plan year/grace period, whichever is later) ending, but it’s still ‘pending’ Livey to review. What should I do?
Lively seeks to adjudicate claims between 3-5 days. We can assure you any claim submitted is on the adjudicator’s radar.
If your claim is older than 4 weeks, please reach out to support@livelyme.com with any questions.
I had to revise a receipt, but now the action item is removed from my dashboard. What should I do?
We encourage employees to keep receipts and consult a tax specialist or accountant.
I had to pay back a rejected (or partially approved) debit transaction, but now it’s removed from my dashboard. What should I do?
30 calendar days after runout (or the plan year/grace period ends, whichever is later), Lively closes the plan year on behalf of the Plan Sponsor. Your employer may reach out about direct repayment or a W2 adjustment. Please work directly with your employer.
The FSA activity tab says a claim “needs attention”, but I can’t action it. What should I do?
Lively closes the plan year on behalf of the Plan Sponsor 30 calendar days after the runout (or plan year/grace period, whichever is later) ends. Please see the two questions above for more information.
How do I appeal an FSA claim if there is no button?
Please send a secure message to Lively by logging into your account, navigating to the menu, and selecting "Secure Messages." Be sure to include the reason for the claim, claim reference number, and any supporting documentation
How can I tell if my carryover balance was added?
If your previous plan year was with Lively, you can expect your carryover balance to be added to the new plan year around 30 calendar days after the runout (or plan year/grace period) ends.
Once the carryover balance is added, a line item will appear on the plan information section of your dashboard for “rollover” funds.
I didn’t make an FSA election for my next plan year, but I want to keep my carryover balance. What should I do?
Please consult your employer. They can help get you set up if appropriate.
