In order to use your debit card, you must first activate it. Please log into your account and in the Lively “Debit Cards” section, you can see the status of your debit card and any dependent cards. If you are unable to access your account, please pay for the qualified medical expense out-of-pocket if it is urgent. You can then reimburse yourself later (just hold onto your receipts).
If you did activate your debit card, please ensure that you are making a qualified medical expense purchase. In certain cases, we have blocked the ability to purchase non-qualified medical expenses. We do this to ensure that you are not using your card inappropriately, which can lead to penalties and extra taxes!
Lastly, if you have your funds invested through TD Ameritrade or HSA Guided Portfolio, make sure you have enough money in your Lively HSA cash account in order to cover the cost of the transaction you are making.
